Nagpur:
As many as 50 sheep have been crushed to loss of life by a dashing truck on the Bhandara-Nagpur Freeway close to right here in Maharashtra on early Tuesday morning, police mentioned.
The accident happened below Mauda police station limits of Nagpur district.
In accordance with the police, a shepherd, Gova Rabbani (53), a resident of Kutch in Gujarat, was taking a flock of sheep in direction of the Chapegadi Kuhi space at round 3.15 am when a dashing truck ran over them.
As many as 50 sheep have been killed on the spot, whereas 15 others significantly injured, they mentioned, including the truck driver fled with the automobile instantly after the accident.
The accident induced a lack of Rs 5 lakh to the shepherd, mentioned the police.
A case below provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Autos Act was registered by the police.
