MUZAFFARABAD:

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police (AJKP) on Monday foiled a bid to smuggle weapons into the area from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Ok-P).

The smugglers together with heavy arms had been arrested at Dhan Gali checkpost in Tehsil Dadyal of Mirpur district.

The AJKP performing on a tip-off intercepted a automobile bearing quantity AGV -111 of Ok-P.

The police searched the car and recovered round 44 newest rifles and pistols of various bores together with 11,000 bullets.
