With eight former Indian Navy personnel being handed demise penalty in Qatar, the Congress on Thursday stated it expects that the Centre will use its diplomatic and political leverage with the Qatar authorities to make sure that the Indians have full recourse to appeals and in addition do the utmost to get them launched.

The Indian nationals, all workers of Al Dahra firm, had been taken into custody in August final 12 months in an alleged case of espionage. The fees in opposition to the Indian nationals weren’t made public by Qatari authorities.
