After BJP and JDS questioned the propriety of asking officers to serve leaders attending a political occasion, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday mentioned the assignments had been based on the protocol.
The political figures had been in Bengaluru to take part within the assembly of the non-BJP events which the Congress organised.
Saying that the senior officers had been assigned solely to welcome the visiting dignitaries, the Karnataka CM mentioned that the assignments had been based on the protocols.
“Because the Chief Ministers of varied states and former Union Ministers who arrived in Bengaluru had been thought-about as state visitors and based on protocol, officers had been assigned solely to welcome all these visiting dignitaries,” the CM mentioned.
The Opposition JDS and BJP got here down closely on the federal government, questioning the propriety of asking IAS officers to serve leaders attending a political occasion.
