PMD says mercury will stay under freezing level for 2 days in north Balochistan

CHAMAN: A chilly wave is anticipated to hit Sindh and Balochistan’s coastal areas on Saturday night after Balochistan obtained its first snow of winter.

The Pakistan Meteorological Division (PMD) stated a number of areas of Balochistan obtained the primary spell of winter snow. The mountain ranges of Toba Achakzai, Toba Kakari, Ziarat, Kanjoghi and Khwaja Amran have been hit by snowfall.

In the meantime, rain lashed numerous districts together with Chaman, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Ziarat, Muslim Bagh and Chaghi. The PMD stated rain will final until Saturday night in north Balochistan.

The met division added that the western wave would exit the area tomorrow which is inflicting excessive winter situations in northeastern and central Balochistan.

“The mercury will stay under the freezing level for 2 days in north Balochistan,” the met division maintained.

On December 7, amid the prevailing chilly spell within the nation, Karachi witnessed the coldest evening of the winter season because the mercury dropped to 13.5°C, the met division stated.
