Ferrari’s vice-chairman has revealed the Italian marque tried to steal the providers of key Crimson Bull chief Adrian Newey.
Piero Ferrari, son of founder Enzo, defined that the group had made a earlier advance to grab the F1 designer’s abilities.
Ferrari confirmed the transfer got here beneath the management of Jean Todt who ran the group between 1999 and 2004.
Chatting with Autosprint, Ferrari defined: “He stated no to Montezemolo and to Jean Todt. Apparently, he doesn’t need to transfer – he likes to remain in England.
“And aside from that, his undisputed abilities apart, he doesn’t do it alone. He has excellent individuals round him.”
