Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Fawad Chaudhry issued a verbal apology to the Election Fee of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday.
A four-member fee headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja was presiding over the contempt proceedings.
Because the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Get together (IPP) chief apologised to the ECP for his statements, the CEC stated that, “You insulted the ECP. Your get together chairman used disrespectful language in opposition to my spouse.”
Fawad nonetheless harassed that he had “no private points with the CEC or the ECP”, including that he was “the get together spokesman on the time and all statements had been in accordance with the get together coverage”.
He then went on to request the ECP to “let the matter go” as he had apologised verbally.
