Rawalpindi: The Military’s media wing on Friday clarified that former Military Chief Normal (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s assertion on “fight functionality” was quoted “out of context”.
Following the dialogue within the media, the Inter-Companies Public Relations (ISPR) issued an announcement, discussing “the fight functionality of the Pakistan Military in view of the standing of sure weapon methods in its stock”.
“For this, the previous military chief’s views on the longer term menace to Pakistan, which he shared with media individuals in an off-the-record interactive session, have been taken out of context,” the ISPR stated.
The military’s media wing assured the those that the military will at all times delight itself on its “operational preparedness and utmost fight functionality”.
ISPR stated, “Pakistan Armed Forces have at all times stored their weapons, tools and battle-hardened human useful resource prepared for the protection of the motherland.”
The assertion got here after journalist Hamid Mir revealed in a TV present that Gen (retd) Bajwa had stated in a gathering with 20-25 journalists that Pakistan was in no place to struggle a conflict with India.
