HEC awards undergraduate scholarships to GB college students

The scholarship committee of the undergraduate scholarship programme for Gilgit-Baltistan met on the Increased Schooling Fee (HEC) Secretariat to approve the number of the third batch of scholars who will pursue their undergraduate research in numerous public sector universities in Pakistan.
 
The assembly, chaired by Govt Director HEC Dr Zia Ul-Qayyum, was attended yesterday by the Vice Chancellor, Karakoram Worldwide College Gilgit, Dr Atta Ullah Shah, Vice Chancellor, College of Baltistan Skardu, Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan, Director Basic (Scholarships) HEC, Ms Aayesha Ikram, Assistant Chief (S&T) Planning Fee, Mr Muhammad Zaheer, Director Schooling (Schools), Mr Juma Gul, and Mr Javed Hassan Awan, Undertaking Director (GB Scholarships) HEC.

For the consumption of the third batch, HEC marketed the scholarship in August 2023. The take a look at was performed in November. A complete of 100 college students have been provisionally chosen on benefit, and amongst them, 37 are feminine college students.

It’s pertinent to say right here that the undergraduate scholarship programme for college students at GB is a part of the underdevelopment bundle for Gilgit Baltistan.

This programme is envisioned to offer monetary help to GB’s college students aspiring for undergraduate research at HEC-recognised public sector universities in Pakistan. The programme was began in 2021, and till now, 275 college students have been awarded this scholarship.
