WASHINGTON—Home Republicans threatened to carry Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress if he fails to seem subsequent week for closed-door questioning, escalating an already tense standoff over lawmakers’ demand for testimony from President Biden’s son.
In a letter Wednesday to the youthful Biden’s lawyer, two Home Republicans insisted that he seem for a closed-door deposition on Dec. 13, the date set by a subpoena issued to him final month. Hunter Biden has provided to testify publicly however resisted sitting for personal questioning, along with his lawyer Abbe Lowell elevating issues that Home Republicans would selectively leak parts of any testimony.
