Home Republicans, assembly behind closed doorways, voted Friday by secret poll for Jordan (Ohio) to step apart following a 3rd vote on the Home ground wherein Jordan fell effectively in need of a majority of the total chamber. The transfer leaves the Republican convention with no speaker nominee greater than two weeks after the ouster of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.). Lawmakers will return Monday to begin the method over once more.
