Kathua/Jammu:
A policeman died at a hospital inside hours of his arrest by the CBI on graft fees in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, officers mentioned.
Head Constable Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Billawar, was caught red-handed whereas allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a complainant on the ladies police station in Kathua, the place he was posted, the officers mentioned.
They mentioned the policeman was being questioned in a separate room contained in the police station by the CBI sleuths when he complained of uneasiness and was rushed to Authorities Medical School (GMC) hospital for therapy.
Nonetheless, he died on the hospital, the officers mentioned, including the reason for the dying was not identified instantly.
Station Home Officer of the police station, Kiran Devi, confirmed the dying of the policeman.
“The policeman died shortly after we shifted him to the hospital. An in depth report will likely be shared later,” she instructed PTI.
