Patriot discovered Grillo’s recipes whereas the businesses partnered for nearly a decade, based on the lawsuit, which was filed June 27 within the U.S. District Courtroom for the Southern District of Florida. When Grillo’s used a cleansing machine in Patriot’s facility in Could 2015, the businesses signed one other settlement to not disclose recipes, the lawsuit says.

Grillo’s desires Patriot to return or destroy copies of its recipes and is requesting compensation for damages and attorneys charges. Patriot is due to reply to the criticism by July 18.
“Patriot’s use of recipes and processes stolen from Grillo’s to roll out a virtually identically formulated line of pickles nationwide … threatens to cripple Grillo’s enterprise and buyer base irreparably,” the lawsuit states. “It urgently should be stopped.”
