A favorite Christmas chocolate model might devastate followers this Christmas as employees walkout of their manufacturing facility in strike.
Ferrero Rocher manufacturing facility employees are strolling out over failed pay talks, with union bosses calling it a real-terms pay lower.
The hazlenut treats wrapped in gold foil balls are a favorite in the course of the festive season and have been a staple in British houses for years.
However GMB union members at Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate works in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, are set to stroll out within the coming weeks. The plant is one among Britain’s largest suppliers of cocoa merchandise to the confectionery business – together with the makers of Ferrero Rocher.
GMB stated: “Employees rejected an actual phrases pay lower on the confectionery large’s web site in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.” It added: “100% of staff balloted, voted to again strike motion, with dates for the walkouts to be introduced within the coming days.”
