The Nationwide Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday declared Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique harmless in Paragon Metropolis case.
The NAB returned the reference in opposition to Khawaja brothers to the Lahore Improvement Authority (LDA) including that no proof of corruption discovered in opposition to them.
“Paragon Housing Society was permitted by the Aziz Bhatti City, not by the LDA,” NAB stated in its report back to the courtroom. “The bureau not required to pursue the case additional,” the bureau acknowledged. “The case needs to be despatched to the LDA, which should redress complaints as regulator,” accountability watchdog stated.

The reference
The NAB within the reference stated that Saad Rafique and others had launched a housing mission named Air Avenue, which was later renamed to Paragon Metropolis (Pvt) Ltd.
In keeping with the reference, Saad Rafique, Salman Rafique and Nadeem Zia owned 93.2 per cent shares within the Paragon Housing Society.
It alleged that the previous railway minister acquired financial advantages to the tune of Rs58 million from the society whereas his brother Rs39 million.
