Caretaker authorities cuts petrol worth by Rs8 per litre and diesel fee retains at Rs276.21 per litre
ISLAMABAD: In a sigh of reduction, the caretaker authorities on Monday diminished the value of petrol for the subsequent fortnight by Rs8 per litre to Rs259.34 per litre.

There was a discount in kerosene oil and lightweight diesel oil charges by Rs1.97 and Rs0.92 per litre within the recent revision.
It emerged on Sunday that the petrol worth would go down by over Rs5, whereas the high-speed diesel (HSD) might not witness any change within the upcoming gasoline costs assessment, The Information reported quoting sources.
Nevertheless, no change in HSD worth was anticipated within the wake of a lower within the costs of POL [petrol, oil and lubricants] within the worldwide market registered within the ongoing fortnight, and the rise of rupee worth towards the US greenback, a senior authorities official advised The Information.
Previously fortnight, the federal government had maintained petrol and diesel charges at Rs267.34 and Rs276.21 per litre respectively.
The worth of Kerosene oil had dropped to Rs188.83 after a discount of Rs2.19 per litre whereas Gentle Diesel Oil might be offered at Rs165.75 as the federal government has elevated the commodity’s worth by Rs1.11.
