Paytm on Tuesday clarified to the Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee that it has put up QR code show boards exterior the gates of Kedarnath and Badrinath to hunt donations from pilgrims below a contract with BKTC in 2018.
BKTC media in-charge Harish Gaur mentioned there was a proper settlement between BKTC and Paytm in 2018 to place up such boards exterior the gates of temples to obtain donations from pilgrims.
“Since then, small boards with fast response (QR) codes have been put up by Paytm exterior these temples. Rs 67 lakh has been acquired by means of these QR codes by means of donations by BKTC,” he mentioned.
