Sliding for the sixth straight session, fairness benchmark Sensex in the present day plunged about 900 factors to crash beneath the 64,000 stage resulting from an across-the-board selloff amid heightened rigidity within the Center East.

The 30-share BSE Sensex slumped 900.91 factors or 1.41 per cent to settle beneath the 64,000 mark at 63,148.15. In the course of the day, it plummeted 956.08 factors or 1.49 per cent to 63,092.98.

The Nifty dived 264.90 factors or 1.39 per cent to 18,857.25.

Mahindra & Mahindra was the most important loser within the Sensex pack, falling 4.06 per cent, adopted by Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints, Nestle, Bajaj Finserv, JSW Metal, Titan, HDFC Financial institution, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors and Larsen & Toubro.
