Shakira’s house metropolis unveils statue of ‘Hips Do not Lie’ singer

Grammy-winning Colombian singer Shakira, one of many world’s top-selling musicians, has been immortalized in her well-known belly-dancing pose in an enormous bronze statue in her house metropolis of Barranquilla.

The town’s Mayor Jaime Pumarejo unveiled the 6.5 meter (21 foot) sculpture in a park alongside the banks of the Magdalena River on Tuesday within the firm of the singer’s mother and father.
