Spain expects second planeload of Afghan refugees from Pakistan

MADRID: A second flight carrying Afghan refugees was anticipated to reach in Spain on Tuesday from Pakistan a day after a primary flight for individuals who labored for Madrid within the war-torn nation, a authorities supply stated.

Tuesday’s arrival with round 160 individuals was scheduled for round 7pm (1700 GMT) on the Torrejon de Ardoz army airbase exterior Madrid, authorities sources stated on situation of anonymity.

On Monday, 84 individuals had arrived on the primary aircraft, the sources added.

The European Union’s high diplomat, Josep Borrell, on Friday urged the bloc’s member states to host a “minimal” of between 10,000 and 20,000 extra Afghan refugees.
