Spanish Soccer Federation president Luis Rubiales planted a cringe-worthy kiss on the lips of workforce captain Jenni Hermoso through the ceremony, inflicting outrage.

In a press release given to AFP and reported by The Guardian, Hermosa referred to as the second a “pure gesture of affection.” 

“It was a very spontaneous mutual gesture due to the immense pleasure that profitable a World Cup brings,” Hermoso is attributed as saying in a press release launched by the Spanish federation. “The president and I’ve a terrific relationship, his habits with all of us has been excellent and it was a pure gesture of affection and gratitude.”

Rubiales downplayed the scenario throughout an interview with Radio MARCA saying: “There are idiots in all places. When two individuals have a minor present of affection, we will’t heed idiocy.”

The second acquired loads of outcry as followers angrily reacted to what they noticed by Rubiales.
