A United Airways pilot has been charged over an axe assault at Denver Worldwide Airport.

Sixty-three-year-old Kenneth Henderson Jones faces expenses of prison mischief for allegedly utilizing an axe to strike a parking arm on the airport’s worker car parking zone, the Related Press experiences.

The incident on 2 August was caught on surveillance video.

Mr Henderson Jones is accused of knocking off the gate’s base after which fleeing the scene by leaping a fence throughout a confrontation with an airport worker who managed to take the axe from him.

The pilot was later arrested at a close-by area and launched shortly after.

The damages allegedly brought on by the pilot are estimated to be $700, in keeping with CBS Information.

A police report obtained by the AP states that Mr Henderson Jones stated he was “at his breaking level” when the assault unfolded.

He reportedly claimed he was making an attempt to assist drivers go away the car parking zone as a minimum of six autos had been caught at each exit.

United Airways stated in a press release that Mr Henderson Jones has been faraway from the schedule.
