About 37 lakh tax payers filed their Earnings Tax Returns (ITRs) on Monday, the final date for submitting returns with out penal fees, lifting the full variety of well timed ITR filings previous a recent report of 6.50 crore by 6 pm within the night.
“The Earnings Tax Division scales a brand new peak! Greater than 6.50 crore ITRs have been filed to this point (31st July), out of which about 36.91 lakh ITRs have been filed as we speak until 6 pm! We’ve got witnessed greater than 1.78 crore profitable logins on the e-filing portal until 6 pm, as we speak,” the IT division stated.
As of Sunday, about 6.13 crore ITRs had been filed and until the time of going to press, there was no indication that the federal government would prolong the submitting deadline.
