Ballia, Uttar Pradesh:
An eight-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her 14-year-old neighbour in a village in UP’s Ballia, police stated on Sunday.
Circle Officer (CO) Mohammad Faheem Qureshi stated the incident came about on Saturday afternoon when the boy allegedly lured the woman to a secluded place and raped her.
The accused allegedly dedicated the crime after watching an obscene video clip on his cell phone, Mr Qureshi stated.
The police have lodged an FIR in opposition to the accused beneath related sections of the Indian Penal Code and Safety of Youngsters from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the CO stated.
{The teenager} was arrested by the police on Sunday, he added.
