MULTAN-Punjab authorities has permitted water provide scheme of Water and Sanitation Company (WASA) value Rs 1000 million whereas work on the challenge can be initiated quickly. Deputy Director water provide WASA Abdul Salam advised APP right here on Saturday that proposals of two water provide schemes together with substitute of outlived water provide strains and tubewells in Multan and water provide scheme for unsurved areas of Multan with value of Rs 500 million have been despatched, from which substitute of outlived water provide strains schemes permitted. He mentioned that second scheme was in approval phases.
He mentioned that work can be executed on the permitted scheme after completion of pre-qualifications and tendering course of.
He mentioned that the substitute of outlived water provide strains would assist to supply water provide to shoppers in correct manner and to beat the contaminated water complaints. He mentioned that the water provide strains have been too outdated and had spent their pure life.
He mentioned that the work on these schemes can be accomplished in three years.
To a query about set up of water meters at 5 drinks and mineral water factories, Abdul Salam mentioned that they’d put in six meters whereas 11 metres can be put in.
He knowledgeable that they might set up remaining meters in subsequent week.
